Business terms and conditions of training and tests
held by ALEF Distribution SK, s.r.o. (hereinafter referred to as: “BTC”)

1. Introductory provision

These business terms and conditions govern the legal relations between the client of onsite or online training and / or tests and the training provider, the company ALEF Distribution SK, s.r.o., corporate registration number: 35 703 466, with its registered office at the address of: Galvaniho 17/C, 821 04 Bratislava, Slovakia, insert no.: 12187/B, kept at the District Court of Bratislava 1 (hereinafter referred to as: the “company ALEF”).

These business terms and conditions may be unilaterally changed by ALEF. However, the rights and obligations of the training client and of the company ALEF are always governed by the BTC in the version effective at the time when the order was demonstrably sent to ALEF; such wording of the BTC is binding for the training client.

It is the responsibility of the training client to continuously monitor the current wording of the BTC (the wording of the BTC is continuously marked with the version number) and to become acquainted with the BTC on an ongoing basis. All versions of the BTC, including also the version currently in force, are published on the website of the company ALEF: https://training.alef.com/sk.

Training prices are listed on the website. The listed prices are without VAT.

2. Ordering training and tests

2.1. Ordering a training
The training order can be submitted by the training orderer via the website https://training.alef.com/sk or by e-mail to sk-training@alef.com. Each order must have the requisites that are subsequently required for invoicing and specific registration, namely:

  • data of the legal entity or natural person (training client) on which the invoice will be issued, including the registered office and VAT number, if he is a VAT payer;
  • an explicit reference that the order and the rights and obligations arising out of it are governed by the effective BTC of the ALEF company published on the website https://training.alef.com/sk, with which the client of the training has become acquainted and by which it agrees to be bound;
  • first name, last name and contact details of the participant(s) of the training;
  • the type of training and the date on which the participant(s) wish to participate;
  • the selected method of payment (invoice, ALEF Training Credits, or Cisco Learning Credits, if available to the training client).

Upon receipt of the order, the employee of the ALEF Training Team of the company ALEF will send the order confirmation to each training client and each registered participant within 48 hours, if the training date is free. In the event that the date of the selected training is already occupied, the training client and each registered participant will be contacted with an offer of alternative dates.

At least one week before the start of the training, the participants will receive an electronic invitation with more detailed organizational information, such as the date of the start of the training, the venue, or parking options.

ALEF is entitled to change the format of full-time training to on-line training and vice versa at any time. The other provisions of these T&C are not affected.

2.2. Ordering a test
The test can be ordered by the client via the website https://training.alef.com/sk or by e-mail to sk-testing@alef.com, no later than 48 hours before the desired test date. Each order must have the requisites that are subsequently required for invoicing and specific registration, namely:

  • data of the legal entity or natural person (test client) on which the invoice will be issued, including the registered office and VAT number, if he is a VAT payer;
  • an explicit reference that the order and the rights and obligations arising out of it are governed by the effective BTC of the ALEF company published on the website https://training.alef.com/sk, with which the client has become acquainted and by which it agrees to be bound;
  • first name, last name and contact details of the participant(s) of the test;
  • the type of the test, the date and the exact time (hour, minutes) when the participant(s) wish to participate;
  • the selected method of payment (invoice, ALEF Training Credits, or Cisco Learning Credits, if available to the client).

Upon receipt of the order, the employee of the ALEF Training Team of the company ALEF will send the order confirmation to each client and each registered participant within 24 hours, if the date is free. In the event that the date is already occupied, the client and each registered participant will be contacted with an offer of alternative dates.

The test participant shall be obliged to comply with the terms and conditions set by the company VUE. 

3. Payment for training and tests

3.1. Payment for a training
The participation fee for the training includes tuition, use of computer technology, study materials and issuance of a certificate of completion of the training. The price of the training also includes refreshments, including drinks of various kinds and a hot lunch if the training takes place on the premises of the Alef Training Center. In the case of holding a training outside these areas, refreshments and lunch are a matter of agreement between the training client and ALEF.

Payment of training prices takes place in case of existing clients only after the training, as a standard, within 14 calendar days from the delivery of the invoice. For new clients, a proforma invoice is issued for the first order of the training, which the training client shall be obliged to pay by the beginning of the training. Reimbursement means crediting the amount of the reimbursement to the account of the training provider. After the training, an invoice - a tax document - is issued to the training client. In case of trouble-free payment, i.e.: in the invoiced amount and deadline, each additional training is already paid in the same way as in the case of existing ALEF clients, i.e.: only after its completion within 14 calendar days from the delivery of the invoice.

If the company has ALEF Training Credits (ATC) available, it can use these as payment for the given training. Information on the current amount and the method of using them will be provided by the ALEF Training Team to ALEF.

If the company has Cisco Learning Credits (CLC) available, these can only be used for certified Cisco training.

In the event of a delay in the payment of the training price, the training client shall be obliged to pay ALEF a default interest in an amount of 0.05% of the amount due for each day of the delay.

3.2. Payment for a test
The participation fee for the test includes the test itself in a comfortable, air-conditioned room. The participant also has refreshment available including non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks.

Payment of test prices takes place in case of existing clients only after the implementation of the test, as a standard, within 14 calendar days from the delivery of the invoice. For new clients, a proforma invoice is issued for the first order of the test, which the client shall be obliged to pay by the beginning of the test. Reimbursement means crediting the amount of the reimbursement to the account of the test provider. Following the implementation of the test, an invoice - a tax document - is issued to the client. In case of trouble-free payment, i.e.: in the invoiced amount and deadline, each additional test is already paid in the same way as in case of existing ALEF clients, i.e.: only after its completion within 14 calendar days from the delivery of the invoice.

If the company has ALEF Training Credits (ATC) available, it can use these as payment for the given test. Information on the current amount and the method of using them will be provided by the ALEF Training Team to ALEF.

If the company has Cisco Learning Credits (CLC) available, it can use them indirecly as payment for the given test. It is necessary to ask the ALEF Training Team employee of the ALEF Company about the procedure.

In the event of a delay in the payment of the test price, the client shall be obliged to pay ALEF a default interest in an amount of 0.05% of the amount due for each day of the delay.

4. Cancellations policy

4.1. Trainings
The request for free-of-charge cancellation of participation in the certified training must be sent no later than 35 working days before the start of the training to sk-training@alef.com, or to the relevant employee of the ALEF Training Team of ALEF, by whom the order was confirmed. In case of cancellation less than 35 working days before the start date of the training, the cancellation conditions are as follows:

  • cancellation of participation in a certified training less than 35 working days before the date of the beginning of the training - cancellation fee (excluding VAT) is 50% of the training price (excluding VAT);
  • cancellation of participation in a certified training less than 10 working days before the date of the beginning of the training - cancellation fee (excluding VAT) is 100% of the training price (excluding VAT).

The request for the cancellation of non-certified trainings must be sent no later than 10 working days before the date of commencement of the training. If the request is sent later, a cancellation fee (excluding VAT) of 100% of the training price (excluding VAT) will be charged.

Cancellation fees are due within 14 calendar days of receipt of the invoice.

4.2. Tests
After confirmation of registration for the test by ALEF employees, it is not possible to cancel the order for the test, it is only possible to change the test date, no later than 2 working days before the scheduled test date.

If the request is sent later, a cancellation fee (excluding VAT) of 100% of the test price (excluding VAT) will be charged.

In the event of a delay in the payment of a cancellation fee or administrative fee, an obligation arises to pay a default interest in the amount of 0.05% of the amount due for each day of the delay.

5. Organizational changes

5.1. Trainings
The ALEF Company (ALEF Training Team) reserves the right to cancel the planned training date in case of unexpected events – illness of the lecturer, interruption of the supply of services (such as: electricity, Internet, etc.).

ALEF also reserves the right to cancel the training date if the sufficient number of participants required for its implementation is not met. In this case, the training client and the registered participants will be contacted with a new possible date.

5.2. Tests
The date of the test can be changed, but it is necessary to contact the person who confirmed the registration for the relevant test regarding the change of the date, no later than 2 working days before the scheduled date of the test. Changing the date is free of charge.

An administrative fee of EUR 20 (excluding VAT) is charged for the second and each subsequent change of the test date. This administrative fee is payable within 14 calendar days of receipt of the invoice.

Information on the date change must be sent no later than 2 working days before the date to sk-testing@alef.com. If a change of date is possible, it will be confirmed by ALEF.

6. Electronic materials

A new trend of providing electronic training materials for certified Cisco training, participants in the onsite training must bring a laptop, or on request, we can provide temporary use of our laptop free of charge. The request needs to be done at least one week before the start of the training.

7. Protection of copyright and other rights of third parties

It is expressly forbidden to make any audio or video recordings of the training. In case of violation of this prohibition by the participant of the training, the participation in the training to the participant may be terminated with the proviso that in such a case the training client is not entitled to a refund of the training price of such participant.

It is expressly forbidden to distribute received digital and printed training materials for training. The training materials are exclusively for the participant of the training.

8. Final provisions

These BTC, the legal relations arising out of them or related to them, including also the non-contractual relations (if the choice of law is permissible for them), are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, with the exclusion of collision rules of international private law. For any issues not regulated by these BTC, the legal relationship between the client of the training and / or the test and the ALEF Company the provisions of the Civil Code shall prevail.
