The course is focused on detail explanation of TOGAF - the international standard for enterprise architecture management. It defines and explains processes for the design and management of the architecture (TOGAF ADM), the terminology used, a clear definition of roles and the structure of outputs describing the architecture at various stages of its design.

In addition to the content defined by the owner of the standard, the course also includes many examples from the practice of our consultants and trainers. We will show you how an architect should be involved in the preparation of the organization's strategy, ongoing projects and change management and what is the difference between the roles of enterprise architect, solution architect, business analyst and project manager.

The course is a perfect preparation for the TOGAF Foundation certification exam, which you can take immediately after the course or at any time later.

3 days (8h/day)

Training format

As a standard, we implement a full-time course (onsite or ILT *) in the ALEF Training Center. Upon agreement, it is possible to implement the course at the client's premises. The course can also be implemented online (vILT **) via a video conferencing platform - Cisco Webex meetings. Instructor- led virtual training is a combination of the best of a traditional classroom course and interactive training without having to leave your own office or the comfort of your home. Convince yourself of top quality transmission, video calls and effective team collaboration.

  • ILT - Instructor Led-Training * - instructor-led training in the classroom. ** vILT (Virtual Instructor-Led Training) - this is a form of distance learning, where the instructor conducts training from the classroom through an online platform to which students connect from their offices or the comfort of their home.

On top of the content defined by The Open Group consortium we added additional content which shows how to use the standard in real practise of various organizations.

  • Real architecture principles from different industries with hands-on exercise of their definition
  • Detail definition of Enterprise and Solution architect roles
  • Linkage between TOGAF standard and project management methodologies
  • Guidance and recommendation on architecture setup in particular organizations
  • Step-by-step architecture design using own case study.
  • Business capability mapping examples and linkage to customer journey maps
  • Recommendations on architecture repository selection and setup
