Business Terms and Conditions for Training and Tests

of ALEF NULA, a.s. (hereinafter the “TaC”)

1. Introductory Provisions

These terms and conditions are operated by the legal relations between the client of onsite and online training and/or courses and/or exams if the training or course is completed by an Exam (hereinafter "training") and the training provider, ALEF NULA, corp., ID No. 618 58 579, with its registered office at Pernerova 691/42, Karlín, 186 00 Prague 8, file number B 2727 kept at the Municipal Court in Prague (hereinafter referred to as the “ALEF Company”).

These terms and conditions could be changed unilaterally by ALEF. The rights and the obligations of the training order by the client and ALEF are managed by the T&C as amended effectively at the time the order was demonstrably sent to ALEF; such wording of the T&C is binding for the client of the training.

It is up to the training client to continuously monitor the current wording of the T&C (the wording of the T&C is continuously indicated by the version number) and is continuously familiar with the T&C. All T&C versions, including the currently effective version, are published on the website ALEF https://training.alef.com/cz.

Training prices are listed on the above website. Listed prices do not include VAT.

2. Ordering Training

Training orders can be ordered by the training client via the website www.training.alef.com or by email at cz-training@alef.com. Each order must have the requisites that are needed for invoicing and specific registration, namely:

  • data of the legal or natural person (training client) to which it will be
  • an invoice issued, including the registered office and VAT number, if he is a VAT payer
  • an explicit reference that the order and the rights and obligations arising from it are operated effectively T&C of ALEF published on the web website https://training.alef.com/cz, with which the training client is familiar and which he undertakes to follow
  • name, surname, and contact details of the participant (s)
  • the type of training and the date on which the participant (s) wish to attend
  • the selected method of payment (invoice, ALEF Training Credits, or Cisco Learning Credits, if available to the training client)

After receiving the order each training client and each registered participant will receive a confirmation within 48 hours about the vacancy of the training. In the case that the date of the selected training is full, the training client and each registered participant will be contacted with an offer of alternative dates.

At least one week before the start of the training, the participants of the training will receive an invitation with more detailed organizational information, such as the date and time of the training, the venue, or parking options.

ALEF is entitled to change the format of full-time training to on-line training and vice versa at any time. The other provisions of these T&C are not affected.

Repeated participation in online training

Repeated participation is only available for vILT Cisco certified training.

* vILT (Virtual Instructor-Led Training) - it is a form of distance learning where the instructor conducts training from the classroom through an online platform.

You can apply for repeated participation within 1 month from the end of the training by sending an e-mail to the training department.

You can indicate the specific date you have chosen in the e-mail. In case it is occupied, we will contact you with a potential replacement date.

The condition for repeated participation is the payment of the fee for the first term of the training. You have the option of repeated participation for a period of 12 months from the last day of the first training date. It is not possible to repeatedly participate in the training if the course is withdrawn from our offer or no other date is announced within the given range.

3. Payment for Training

The participation fee for the training includes tuition, use of computer technology, study materials, and issuance of a certificate of completion of the training. The price of the training also includes refreshments, including drinks of various kinds and a hot lunch if the training takes place on the premises of the Alef Training Center. In the case of training outside these areas, refreshments and lunch are a matter of agreement between the training client and ALEF.

The payment of training in the case of existing customers is after the training, normally within 14 working days from the delivery of the invoice. For new customers, an advance invoice is issued for the first training, which the training client is obliged to pay by the beginning of the training. After the training, the customer of the training is issued an invoice - a tax document. In the case of a problem-free payment, i.e. in the invoiced amount and deadline, each additional training is already paid for in the same way as in the case of existing ALEF customers, i.e. only after its completion within 14 working days of delivery of the invoice.

If the company has ALEF Training Credits (ATC), it is possible to use them as payment for the relevant training or certification. Information on the current amount and how they are drawn will be provided by the ALEF Training Team of ALEF. 

In the case of a delay in the payment for the training, the training client is obliged to pay the ALEF interest rate on arrears in the amount of 0.05% of the amount due for each day of delay.

4. Cancellation Conditions

The request for free cancellation of participation in certified training must be sent no later than 35 working days before the start date of the training to cz-training@alef.com, or to the relevant employee of the ALEF Training Team of ALEF, by whom the order was confirmed. In case of cancellation less than 35 working days before the start date of the training, the cancellation conditions are as follows:

  • cancellation of participation in certified training less than 35 working days before the start date of the training - cancellation fee is (excluding VAT) is 50% of the training price (excluding VAT)
  • cancellation of participation in certified training less than 10 working days before the start date of the training - cancellation fee (excluding VAT) is 100% of the training price (excluding VAT) 

The request for cancellation of non-certified training must be sent no later than 10 working days before the start of the training start date. If the request is sent later, a cancellation fee (excluding VAT) of 100% of the training price (excluding VAT) will be charged.
Cancellation fees are due within 14 working days of receipt of the invoice.

After receiving the registration for the certification test, which completes the certified training, the order of the certification test cannot be canceled. The date of the test can be changed, but it is necessary to contact the person who confirmed the registration for the relevant test regarding the change of the date, no later than 3 working days before the planned start of the certification test.

An administrative fee of EUR 20 (excluding VAT) is charged for the second changing of the certification test date. This administrative fee is payable within 14 working days of receiving the invoice. Information on the change of date must be sent no later than 3 working days before the training to the cz-training@alef.com. If a change of date is possible, it will be confirmed by ALEF.

In the case of a delay of the payment of the cancellation fee or administrative fee, the obligation arises to pay interest on arrears in the amount of 0.05% of the amount due for each day of delay.

5. Organisational Changes

ALEF (ALEF Training Team) reserves the right to cancel the planned training date in case of unexpected events, the illness of the lecturer, interruption of the supply of services (such as electricity, internet, etc.)

ALEF also reserves the right to cancel the training date if the sufficient number of participants required for its implementation is not met. In such a case, the training client and the registered participants will be contacted with a new possible date.

6. Electronic Materials

A new trend of providing electronic training materials for certified Cisco training, participants in the full-time training must bring a laptop, or on request, we can provide temporary use of our laptop free of charge. The request needs to be done at least one week before the start of the training.

7. Protection of copyright and other rights of third parties

It is expressly forbidden to make any audio or video recordings of the training. In case of violation of this prohibition by the participant/participants of the training, the participation in the training to the participant/participants may be terminated with the proviso that in such a case the training client is not entitled to a refund of the training price of such participant/participants.

It is expressly forbidden to distribute received digital and printed training materials for training. The training materials are exclusively for the participant/participants of the training.

8. Concluding Provisions

These T&C, legal relations arising from or related to it, including non-contractual relations (if the choice of law is permissible for them), are governed by the law of the Czech Republic with the exclusion of conflicting rules of private international law. In matters not regulated by these T&C, the legal relationship between the training client and ALEF is governed in particular by the Civil Code.

In case of disputes arising from these T&C or in connection with them, the local jurisdiction of the court of the first instance is given as follows: if the jurisdiction of regional courts is given, the Municipal Court in Prague has territorial jurisdiction, if the jurisdiction of district courts is locally competent District Court for Prague 8.

The provision of the previous sentence is binding only if the legal relationship between the training client and ALEF is a legal relationship between entrepreneurs in their business activities.
